Snake Eyes In the context of dice games, such as craps, the term snake eyes refers to a roll of two ones on a pair of six-sided dice. The probability of rolling snake eyes is 2.8% (1:36 true odds). If the shooter rolls this combination during their come-out roll, they crap out. Rolling a two in gamblers’ parlance is called rolling “Snake Eyes”, so called because of the resemblance of the two pips to the eyes of a snake, and because of the ill-deserved reputation snakes have for treachery due to the chicanery of the mythical snake in the Garden of Eden. Snake Eyes is a term often used outside of the casino industry and loosely for people who are losers or people with bad luck. However, the term’s association with losing has to do with casino games wherein ‘Snake Eyes’ is the lowest possible roll, which means that the person has lost at least that dice roll and possibly the game.

Snake Eyes is a craps variant offered at the SkyCity casino in Auckland, New Zealand. It is pretty much the game of craps with all the best bets removed leaving only the sucker bets. To add insult to injury, they depress the odds on some of them compared to the normal stingy American rules. A few new sucker bets are added to the mix too.

Snake eyes, also known as snail eyes, is a term used to refer to the appearance of the facial nerve on coronal CT within its canal in the petrous temporal bone as the tympanic segment doubles back next to the labyrinthine segment. Anteriorly, these two segments converge at the geniculate ganglion.

Snake eyes refers to the appearance of dice when two 'ones' or 'pips' are rolled (see picture). Snail eyes refers to these segments located superolaterally to the cochlea, which looks like a snail's shell.
